These Hollywood Movies Were Made In India Long Ago
These are not the remakes but are definitely so close to the theme that you would believe it if I said these Hollywood movies were based on our very own Bollywood classics i.e. Made In India.
#1 Die Hard and Ghayal
Can’t get any similar than this. One-man-army story with muscles at display, guns blazing and a host of villains to shoot at. Even the lead actors looked and dressed similar. Sunny Deol has been our Indian Rambo, Indian Bruce Willis and Indian Arnold for years. So no wonder Die Hard looks so similar to Ghayal.
#2 Speed and The Burning Train
And you thought the plot in Speed was the most original thing about the movie. Remember the unstoppable train in “The Burning Train” movie? Dharmendra and Hema Malini made it no less memorable a movie. The star-cast was heavier in the Indian one with several top actors coming together to save the train. But the intensity of this movie and more so the plot is totally common. Some of the methods of protection were same too.
#3 Notebook and Jab Jab Phool Khile
Innocent love story of a rich girl falling for a country side poor boy. They seperate because of the cruel world and their families only to reunite few years later owing to their true love. Even though most of Indian movies at that time were rich-poor couple love stories, this one was particularly the exact plot. Accidental similarity you think? Howcome the boat moment is common too?
#4 Gladiator and Agneepath
Vicious revenge story where the lead actors of both films have dedicated their entire lives to avenging their personal loss at the hands of the invincible villain. The scene where Maximus reveals his identity matches the scene where Vijay reveals his. So much so that the biggest punch dialogue of both these films is related to the leads taking their full names.
Share with us which movie do you think reminds you of a classic Indian flick.
